We asked ARAS about the show and their work with artists of all ages.

ArtHubs Interviewer: Please describe your business and the artist practices you teach.

Avenue Road Arts School:
As a Toronto-based art school, our practice is a collaborative and collective sense of creation through community learning. We spotlight the diverse practices of professional working artists, bringing their expertise directly to the wider community through accessible and immersive classes for all ages and levels.

AH: Describe a current project you are excited about!

ARAS:
We are excited about the various community partnerships we have across the GTA, including local centres and organizations, in bringing arts directly to Toronto neighborhoods. Through collaborative public murals, after-school school programming, and interactive workshops in public spaces, we love bringing art to local communities.

AH: Can you describe your most recent inspiration?

ARAS:
What inspires us most is the creativity of our city: the active, evolving work of local artists and the distinct messages they bring to light. We view contemporary practice as a living dialogue. We find constant motivation in discovering what Toronto’s creators are exploring right now and finding meaningful ways to share it; making an art practice accessible, relatable and educational.
